I find Walmart to be the best for most baby things. I brought most of my baby stuff there. They have good prices for stroller-car seat combos. Target is not bad either, however most of their baby stuff is a couple of dollars more expensive than Walmart. If you are looking for breast pumps and accessories, I recommend Target, they have a good selection.
Another tip: when you return to work and you like to express your milk then get a pump you can use every time (some are only for occasional use). Medela has very good breast pumps, they are a little bit more expensive but they really are great value. They work very well and they are don’t hurt your breasts.
My baby is 4 months old. She is exclusively breastfed. She refused to take a bottle and baby formula only made her more gassy so i decided to quit trying. The doctor says i can start solids after she is 5 months old. Should i teach her to drink from a bottle and also try new formulas? Are there mommies out there who managed without bottles,starting juices from a sippy cup and no formula at all?
Crying is your babies way of communicating with the world. If your baby wont sleep and is crying try and work out what your baby is telling you. This can be very hard to do at 3am when you went to sleep at 2am!
My 2 year old nephew,Leo has had one of these pillow pets since he was born. It is called Sheepy. I didn’t think much of it when he was a baby, but sheepy was always with him.
It wasn’t unitl he could talk that the first thing he said was “Sheepy”. So I’d say “Okay Leo, I can see you’re sleepy. Lets get you to bed.”
“Sheepy” Leo would say.
“Yeah Leo’s SLEEPY”
“SHEEPY!” Leo would yell.
“Oh, your pillow pet, Sheepy” And then I would have to find where he’d stashed the pillow pet. Only then would he tuck Sheepy under his head, put his dummy in and go to sleep.
It has been a great comforter to Leo. It goes with him everywhere, and it is always ready for nap time.

Many parents give up wrapping or “swaddling” their baby after the first few weeks because baby doesn’t like it. If you are having difficulty and your baby wont sleep (or keeping him asleep) it may be worth another try.
Babies feel more secure when firmly wrapped.
Perhaps it is like being held firmly in your arms or like being back in the womb. Certainly it controls random movements of babies arms and legs which seem to disturb them and wake them at times. So give the baby swaddle another chance.

I have baby #2 on the way. I used Similac for baby #1 but I now see that Babies R US has it’s own brand of formula and it’s much cheaper. Should i stick with Similac or is the off-brand ok to use?
